Why do some Jolipet diets contain rice?
We sometimes use rice in our dogs' diets because we believe that a balanced diet for dogs consists of three elements: protein, fat and carbohydrates. Dogs, unlike cats, are not pure carnivores and need these carbohydrates.
Depending on the type of food, our diet contains 20-40% lightly pre-cooked rice (only Jolipet Adult Dog Hypo and Jolipet Adult Dog with Beef contain around 40%; the rest is around 20%). Rice is far from being a cheap filler. On the contrary, the rice we use is fit for human consumption.
